Do we have to age?
Current scientific evidence suggests that it is not possible to stop your biological aging process. However, there are scientifically proven ways to slow down your aging process, thereby adding healthy years to your life. This is what we mean by longevity. How you live your life, what you eat, how much you exercise, how well you sleep - these factors influence how fast you age.
You could change nothing about your lifestyle and just take a few miracle pills. Many people do this – but we wouldn't recommend it to you. Instead, it makes much more sense to take a holistic approach to health. Small, simple lifestyle changes are the first step. For example, if you stop drinking alcohol in the evening, walk a lot in your daily life and learn a few simple breathing techniques for relaxation, you will feel results in no time.
The second building block is a balanced diet. We simply need enough nutrients to enable our body to perform its functions optimally. This applies not only to physical health, but also to mental and spiritual well-being. The interactions between food and health are close and often very complex. So before you swallow any miracle pills, eat less fast food and move more.
On this basis, selected food supplements can provide valuable support at the third level. But only if they are scientifically based and appropriately dosed. For this, we prefer to rely on randomized, placebo-controlled human studies that have been conducted according to strict scientific standards. Only such studies provide a good basis for determining ingredients and dosages that could positively influence your well-being. Rodent studies, on the other hand, can only provide initial indications, but are not sufficient to determine safe and effective dosages for humans.
That is why our focus is clearly on human studies to ensure that our product development is based on scientifically sound evidence. Voodoo and mumbo jumbo are not really our thing.
Our mission is to inspire and support you on your personal longevity journey.
Our holistic approach to longevity
the three-step concept
We would like to take a closer look at the concept of the 3 stages with an example: Suppose your mood hasn't been as good as usual recently. Maybe you're feeling down, listless and tired. Our three stages are like adjusting screws that you could now "turn".
If you are suffering from mood problems, one of the most effective measures you can take is to make sure you get a good night's sleep. Adequate sleep stabilizes emotions, reduces stress and prevents mood swings by regulating cortisol and neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. Poor sleep disrupts these hormones and leads to more stress and anxiety. It would therefore be very important in stage 1 to prioritize sleep.
1. Behavioral Tools
the three-step concept
This is about habits that you should change first. Most of them are free and quite easy to integrate into everyday life. In our mood example, these would be things like meditation and breathing exercises, improving sleep hygiene, exercising regularly, getting out in the daylight and strengthening social ties. There is a good chance that you will already notice a change with these measures.
2. Dietary Changes
das Drei-Stufen-Konzept
What we eat has a significant impact on our well-being - including our mood. That's why choosing our meals carefully is also one of our steps, and we would recommend the following course for our example: Eat very little sugar and avoid alcohol, incorporate as many plant-based foods and spicy dishes into your diet as possible. This change in diet can also help to brighten your mood.
3. Selected Food supplements
the three-step concept
If you want to support your mental well-being even further, you can rely on suitable nutritional supplements as a third building block. In our product range, this would primarily be SLEEP, SMILE, but also VITAQ® Omega3 1100.
4. Prescription drugs
Stages 1 and 2 are fundamental to slowing down the aging process and maximizing health through natural means. The focus is therefore on implementing lifestyle changes that can have a significant impact on health and longevity. Prescription drugs are then used as an additional measure when necessary to treat health risks and conditions that cannot be fully controlled by lifestyle changes alone. This would therefore be the 4th stage of your personal longevity journey.
