FAQs
VITAQ Omega3 1100 contains 1,107 mg of the purest omega-3 fatty acids (mg) per capsule:
→ of which EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid): 667mg
→ of which DHA (docosahexaenoic acid): 333mg
→ of which other omega-3 fatty acids: 107mg
This is an exceptionally high dosage per capsule, which was specifically developed for longevity routines.
Two capsules of VITAQ Omega3 1100 provide 2,214 mg of pure Omega3, of which 1,334 mg is EPA. Three capsules provide 3,321 mg Omega3 with an EPA content of 2,001 mg.
VITAQ Omega3 1100 from ASPRIVA provides you with 1107 mg of omega3, including 667 mg EPA and 333 mg DHA, with just a single capsule. If you take 2 capsules a day, you can easily achieve over 2000 mg of Omega3 with only two capsules.
Many brands describe their products as high-dose, but on closer look this way too often refers to a so-called daily portion of 4 or more capsules. For us, high-dose refers to the quantity per capsule.
Our VITAQ® Omega3 1100 capsules are only about 10% larger than conventional omega-3 capsules. This means that despite the significantly higher dosage per capsule (1,100 mg omega-3), we have managed to increase the size only slightly. This makes them easy to swallow for many people. If you are sensitive to larger capsules, it helps to take a sip of water before swallowing. Each capsule replaces 2-4 conventional omega-3 capsules. And best of all, our capsules contain only the desired omega-3 fatty acids, with no fillers.
Yes, there are more than 100 peer-reviewed clinical studies in which EPAX raw materials have been used. These studies confirm the safety and efficacy of EPAX omega-3 concentrates in various areas of health, such as cardiovascular health, joint function, dementia, immunology, pregnancy, and metabolism. The high quality and purity of EPAX oils make them particularly suitable for scientific studies. An overview of all clinical studies can be found directly on the official website:
Yes, EPAX fish oil is known for its sustainability. EPAX Norway AS sources its raw materials from sustainably managed fish stocks and operates in accordance with the guidelines of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and is also certified by Friend of the Sea. EPAX is also committed to sustainable and responsible operations with the goal of using 100% renewable energy and further minimizing its impact on the environment.
EPAX fish oil is mainly obtained from wild-caught cod, anchovies, and mackerel from clean waters, primarily off the coast of Peru. These fish are naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids and are at the beginning of the food chain. As a result, they contain comparatively few environmental toxins such as heavy metals. EPAX strictly adheres to sustainable fishing practices and works with certified suppliers. The oil is processed immediately after being caught to ensure freshness, purity, and minimal oxidation.
We had our EPAX fish oil capsules filled and examined by two leading laboratories in Germany. The result was unequivocal: the heavy metal contamination of our capsules was below the detection limit and thus well below the limits set by GOED, IFOS and the EU. In other words, no heavy metals were detected.
Our experts recommend taking omega-3 capsules with or immediately after a meal. Absorption in the body is better if you take them with some fat. This could be with butter, cheese, oil or eggs, for example. Even small amounts of fat are enough. This helps your body to absorb the omega-3 and fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E and K better. So please do not take it on an empty stomach. You can take it in the morning or evening, whichever suits you better.
A triglyceride content of over 90% is important because triglycerides are the natural form of omega-3 fatty acids that the body can efficiently absorb and utilize. This is known as bioavailability, or the amount of a substance that actually enters the bloodstream and can be used by the body. In comparison, conventional fish oils often contain lower levels of triglycerides.
Omega-3 fatty acids are generally well tolerated. In rare cases, omega-3 capsules may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea, diarrhea, or belching. However, people taking prescription medications should always consult their doctor before taking omega-3 capsules to avoid possible interactions or adverse effects. This is especially true for people with heart disease.
Unfortunately, we have not yet found a vegan option that achieves a dosage like our 1100 Omega-3 capsules. Although algae oil already contains EPA and DHA, the EPA concentration per capsule is too low: you would usually have to take 2-4 capsules. With vegetable oils such as linseed oil, the situation is even more difficult, since the ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) contained in the body must first be converted into EPA and DHA, which leads to very low levels of these essential fatty acids.

Tested for 83 quality and safety parameters
VITAQ Omega3 1100 has been successfully tested for 44 safety and 39 quality parameters.

Heavy metals below the limit of detection
The heavy metal levels in our capsules are below the detection limit and therefore well below the GOED, IFOS and EU limits.
Science-Based Longevity Routines
Omega-3 fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA, are an important part of scientifically based longevity routines due to their potential anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. Longevity experts such as Peter Attia, Rhonda Patrick, and Camillo Ricordi report consuming 1,000–3,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) daily as part of their personal routines. The omega-3 index provides information about the supply of EPA and DHA in the blood and can serve as a guide for individual adjustment of intake.

Is omega-3 already part of your longevity routine? Then you'll be particularly interested in the EPA and DHA content per capsule, as well as the absence of dangerous heavy metals and the triglyceride content. That's why we chose EPAX fish oil with a triglyceride content of 90% and maximum bioavailability.
